Conservation levy, beverages, transfers and items of a personal nature.

At Black Rhino Game Lodge, we understand that plans can change, and we strive to provide a flexible yet fair refund policy. All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions outlined below. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances, including cancellation fees.

DIRECT BOOKINGS:

• 60 days or more prior to arrival: Bookings will be held for 14 days from reservation.
— 25% deposit required to secure reservation / 25% cancellation fee applicable.

• 60 – 30 days prior to arrival: Bookings will be held for 7 days from reservation.
— 50% deposit required to secure reservation / 50% cancellation fee applicable.

• 30 days or less prior to arrival: Bookings will be held for 72 hours from reservation.
— 100% deposit required to secure reservation / 90% cancellation fee applicable.

Should no deposit, proof of payment or feedback be received, bookings will automatically be cancelled, as per the above terms, without prior notification.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to res1@blackrhinogamelodge.co.za or res2@blackrhinogamelodge.co.za. Verbal cancellations will not be accepted.

No-Shows:
Failure to arrive on the scheduled arrival date without prior written cancellation will be treated as a no-show, resulting in a 100% cancellation fee (no refund).

Force Majeure:
Black Rhino Game Lodge reserves the right to amend or cancel bookings due to events beyond our control (force majeure), such as natural disasters, political unrest, or pandemics. In such cases, we will make every effort to provide alternative arrangements credits or refunds, but we are not liable for additional costs incurred by guests.

Additional Notes:
All refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 14 days of receiving the written cancellation, less any applicable fees, unless otherwise stipulated.

Guests who arrive without a valid confirmed reservation, or whose reservation does not cover the full duration or number of guests originally booked, will be subject to a penalty fee of 100% of the Single Rate. This fee compensates for disruption to operations and potential loss of reserved space. The penalty will be charged immediately and must be settled before access is granted. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of management in cases of emergency or unforeseen circumstances, provided supporting documentation is presented.

Distance of Suites from Main Lodge:

• From Luxury Suite no. 2 to Reception = 340m (furthest)
• From Suite no. 20 to Reception = 180m
• From Suite no. 23 to Reception = 150m (closest)

For your comfort and safety during your stay at Black Rhino Game Lodge, please let us know if you have any health, mobility, or accessibility concerns.

As the lodge is set within a natural environment, pathways may be uneven and walking distances can vary, and game drives require guests to climb in and out of safari vehicles. By sharing this information in advance, we can better prepare to accommodate your needs and ensure you have a relaxed and enjoyable safari experience.

Pilanesberg Conservation Levies for Black Rhino Game Lodge are R250 per person per night and R115 per child (5 – 9 years) per night.

Single guests occupying a suite on their own are charged a 50% single supplement. The rate is detailed above.

0-3 Years

 4-5 Years

• Accommodated on request only
• 50% of adult rate when sharing with parents / 2 full paying adults
• Not permitted on game drives
• Bumble Drives – subject to availability

6-11 Years

• Accommodated on request only
• 50% of adult rate when sharing with parents / 2 full paying adults
• Permitted on game drives at Management discretion, alternatively,
• Bumble Drives – subject to availability

12-16 Years

• Can be accommodated in suite with parents / 2 full paying adults
• 100% of adult rate
• Permitted on game drives

17Yrs and older

• To be accommodated in own room
• 100% of adult rate
• Permitted on game drives

• All children under the age of 12 needs to be supervised by an adult at all times , especially when using the pool facilities
• Parents/Guardians must sign an indemnity form prior to the child participating in game drives
• Unfortunately, no childminding services are available due to legislative and company policies

Black Rhino Game Lodge regrets that we are unable to accommodate Kosher and Halal dietary requirements due to our kitchen facilities and staff not being certified or trained to handle these specific dietary needs.
